On the 21st May we held our usual monthly meeting, which was well attended by some 12 members. A few locomotives visited Preston including two of Martin Walmsley's Yorkshire Engine Companies 170 hp shunters, the prototype of which could be found in Preston shed in 1961 and at Lostock Hall in later years. Anthony Miller provided his usual assortment of wagons to accompany the locomotives.

Our next meeting is a visit and operating session to John James layout Benfieldside, please note we will be leaving Lostock Hall at 7pm prompt for those wishing to visit, the visit is on the usual third Thursday, 18th June. Please contact Mike Norris (details on blue sheet), should you require more information.

A quick update to next weeks meeting;

Due to personal reasons John is unable to prepare Benfieldside for our planned visit, this will now be moved out to setember. Instead of visting Benfieldside we will continue the operating session theme and Preston will be operated instead (orignally planned for September), the session will start at 7:30 prompt, please confirm you attendance.
