This months meeting had a strong turn out with 11 members and 1 visitor present.
One member (normally part of the East of Scotland Group) had travelled from Silloth to test the engine shown in the accompanying photographs. Bob is well known for his exquisite scratch built locomotives, usually of Stockton and Darlington prototypes. But in this case it was a locomotive being prepared to appear at Scalefour North on the Burntisland layout, it is a Wheatley 0-6-0 (NBR) of 1870 and in the condition not yet modified by Drummond.
Also as part of the testing was a trial run for an S&D 2nd class 4 wheel coach as built in Darlington in 1860/70, shown below:
